Description
An oil portrait is a timeless way to capture a person's image and character. Oil portraits are cherished additions to any home, and often passed from generation to generation as prized family heirlooms Original oil paintings will last a lifetime and gain in value. They will brighten any wall and give you years of pleasure. Paintings are wonderful to give as special gifts or a keepsake for yourself to enjoy. I work in a realistic style that draws on my studies of the painting techniques of 16th and 17th century masters to create contemporary works that have been described as evocative and engaging. To me, every image is a narrative, including portraits. With portraiture, I strive not only to capture the likeness, but to find the “story” as well: the spark of personality, the intelligence and potential. I work from life and reference photographs to execute paintings in oil on archival canvas. I welcome the opportunity to bring to life your loved one's personality in a custom oil painting that you can cherish. I can include groups in one portrait, as well, even if the photos are separate (i.e., image of family seated in their garden was composed from four individual photos). Prices start at $650.00. Flexible Payment Plans Since art represents a sizable investment, Janine Kilty Artworks offers a flexible, in-house layaway plan. Layaway plans require a 25% non-refundable deposit, after which customers can pay at regular intervals until the paintings are paid off. Customers should pay no less than once a month. Items can not remain in layaway longer than one year. Payments are interest-free, unless a payment is missed. If the customer decides to cancel the agreement, all monies paid in - less the deposit amount - may be exchanged for store credit, credit toward a commissioned painting or another painting or products of equal value sold by Janine Kilty Artworks. After the price of the artwork has been paid in full, including shipping fees, the customers will receive the artwork.
