Description
Tudor Era Gown: Dress like a lady of Henry VIII's Court! Gown Includes everything needed to look like the picture. Undergarments: Corset (steel boned and tabbed) with a solid oak busk for achieving the rigid bodice look Square low-neck chemise Farthingale (hoop-skirt) with steel hoops that are heavy duty to withstand the weight of the gown Gown: Underskirt with removeable Forepart (Get more than one look with the same overdress with minimal time and money!) Black velvet overdress that has contrast lined bell sleeves and a laced back (the eyelets are done by hand - no grommets!) Cuffs that match the forepart False sleeves made from silk satin (To get the look of the 'slash-n-puff') Accessories: French Hood (hat) made of silk velvet trimmed with hand-strung pearls and jeweled trim to match the jewelry set Pearl and Ruby (acrylic) Girdle (belt), Necklace, Bodice pin, Sleeve tie back pins, and Earrings This would be appropriate for any SCA event, Renaissance Faire outing, Stage or Re-enactment group. The gown was made by myself using a pattern I drafted. All of the fabric is natural fiber (silk and cotton) with the exception of the contrast sleeve lining whose content is unknown. Gown fits a 26/28 snugly, could fit a 24 or a 30 depending on how tight the corset is laced. Because the fit is determined by how tight you lace the corset, measurements are really moot. Sold As Is, No Piecing, No Alterations, Buyer pays for shipping
